In accord with Christ’s command to the Church to make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them . . . [and] teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you (Matt 28:19–20), taking to heart the admonitions of St. Paul: the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also (2 Tim 2:2) and King Solomon: Train up a child in the way he should go (Prov 22:6), and heeding St. Paul’s exhortation to the Romans to, not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Rom 12:2), the St. Jerome Christian Library has been established as an educational and spiritual offering of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church for the purpose of:
teaching the historic Christian Faith.
instilling a love of that which is true, noble, good, and beautiful.
perpetuating the Church’s history and mythos.
promoting the historic Lutheran faith and identity.
providing access to resources for spiritual development.
providing a safe environment for countercultural intellectual growth.
providing a wide variety of reading material to engage all age and reading levels of the Church.
encouraging all Christians to live the Way as perpetual students.
The St. Jerome Christian Library is available to all members of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, and to all members of the general Mound City community.
